Description of the Service

Kannada Typing Hub provides an online tool that allows you to type words in English and receive Kannada script suggestions using transliteration, not translation. You can apply suggestions via keyboard shortcuts such as Space, Enter, Tab, and arrow keys, and switch between English and Kannada modes for mixed-language content.

The Service also lets you format text using a toolbar, insert and resize images in the editor, and manage multiple drafts via a built-in notes system. You can store notes and transliteration cache locally in your browser's storage on your device, meaning no standard account signup is required for normal use.

Additionally, you can use Kannada voice typing where supported to input text via speech and then edit and format that text in the same editor. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time without prior notice.

Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you are at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, or you have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You must not be barred from using similar online services under applicable law. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms and that the entity accepts full responsibility for your use.

No Account Requirement

Kannada Typing Hub does not require you to create a user account for normal use of the Service. Notes and transliteration history are stored locally in your browser storage on your device.

If you clear your browser data, change devices, or reset your browser, your locally stored notes and data may be lost. Because standard login accounts are not used, you are responsible for preserving any text or content that you wish to keep by copying or exporting it before closing or resetting your browser.

User Responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree to take reasonable steps to back up any important text or content created using the Service, including copying and storing it outside the browser, as local browser data is not guaranteed to be persistent.

You must ensure that any Content you input does not violate the rights of others, including copyright, trademark, privacy, and other rights. Furthermore, you agree to use accurate and appropriate language, especially if your content will be publicly shared or used in professional or official documents.

You are solely responsible for all Content that you create, type, dictate, paste, or upload while using the Service.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree that you will not, and will not permit or encourage others to misuse the Service by attempting to interfere with or disrupt its proper functioning or infrastructure, or by bypassing any security or access controls.

You must not engage in illegal or harmful conduct by using the Service to create, store, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable under applicable law, nor use it to infringe upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of any person or entity.

You also agree not to abuse technical resources by using automated systems to send excessive requests to the Service, or attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the source code except as permitted by law. Finally, you must not misrepresent the Service by falsely implying any endorsement or affiliation with Kannada Typing Hub without our prior written consent, or present transliteration output as authoritative or official translations. We may take any action we deem appropriate, including suspending or restricting your access, if we believe you have violated these rules.

User Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of the Content you create using the Service. However, you understand and agree that the Service is primarily a client-side tool relying on your browser to store notes and transliteration cache locally.

We generally do not host or permanently store your Content on our servers in connection with the core notes feature; however, technical logs and requests such as transliteration or voice input may pass through our infrastructure or through Third-Party Services to operate the Service. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your Content, as well as any consequences arising from its use, sharing, or publication.

To the extent your Content passes through our servers or integrated Third-Party Services, you grant us and relevant third parties a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transmit, and temporarily store such Content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service. This license is purely functional and does not grant us rights to publicly distribute or commercially exploit your Content beyond providing the Service.

Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights in and to the Service, including but not limited to the website design, user interface, code, logos, trademarks, and underlying technology, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Service, nor may you reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it. You also may not remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes. You may use the editor and transliteration tools to create and format text, and you may copy, export, or otherwise reuse the Content you create at your discretion.

Data Practices and Privacy

Our handling of technical data, logs, cookies, and any personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

The app stores your note content and transliteration cache in your browser's local storage on your device, not in a central user account. Server logs and standard technical data may be processed for security, reliability, and product improvement.

The website may use analytics and advertising tools in the future, which may use cookies or similar identifiers that you can manage through your browser settings. Transliteration requests are processed through Third-Party Services whose data practices are independent, and you should review their policies separately. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services and Links

The Service may integrate, rely on, or link to Third-Party Services such as transliteration providers, analytics services, advertising networks, and voice-recognition providers.

You acknowledge that these Third-Party Services are operated independently and are not controlled by us, meaning we are not responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices. Your use of Third-Party Services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies, which you should review.

We are not liable for any damage or loss arising from your use of or reliance on any Third-Party Services or external websites.

Accuracy and Limitations of Transliteration

The Service uses transliteration, not translation. This means the tool attempts to convert phonetically typed English words into Kannada script suggestions based on approximate sound mappings, not semantic meaning.

Output may vary based on spelling, pronunciation, and context, and may not always match your intended meaning or preferred form. You understand and agree that we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any transliteration output for any purpose.

You must review and verify all text generated, especially for critical contexts, and you bear full responsibility for how you use and rely on the output from the Service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy or reliability of transliteration or voice typing results, nor do we guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses.

You use the Service at your own risk and are solely responsible for verifying the correctness and appropriateness of any content produced or processed through the Service before relying on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we, our affiliates, or our respective directors, officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.

This includes liability for any errors or omissions in transliteration output, as well as any loss or deletion of locally stored notes or Content resulting from browser settings, device changes, or other actions outside our reasonable control.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be limited to the amount, if any, you paid to us for using the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or a nominal amount if the Service is provided free of charge.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and our respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service.

This includes your Content, any allegation that your Content infringes the rights of a third party, and your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation. We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.

Suspension and Termination

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable laws, if we need to protect the security of the Service, or if we discontinue or materially modify the Service.

Because the Service does not rely on standard user accounts, termination may consist of technical measures such as blocking access or disabling certain features for specific IPs or regions. Upon any termination of your access, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, though sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Modifications, Availability, and Maintenance

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features, tools, or functionalities at any time, with or without notice. We may also temporarily or permanently discontinue all or part of the Service, or perform maintenance and updates that may affect its availability or performance.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Insert Governing Country/State], without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Insert City/Region], and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of our right to enforce such provision in the future.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent, though we may assign them without restriction. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
